Junior Football,
Built on Xavs Tradition.

Our Club

130 years of history.
A brand new junior section.

Old Xaverians FC was founded in 1892 by alumni of St Francis Xavier's College — one of Liverpool's oldest and most distinguished football clubs, with a history that runs alongside the city's footballing heritage.

Our famous crest — the oak tree, the bear, and the iconic black-and-white checkerboard — has been worn with pride by men's and veterans' teams for generations. This season, we're proud to bring those colours to the youngest Xavs yet.

Old Xaverians FC Juniors is a new section of the club, built from the ground up for boys and girls from age 6 to 12. Whether your child has never kicked a ball, or plays every day in the garden, they'll find a warm welcome here.

Men's & Veterans Senior teams have competed in Merseyside leagues for over a century, keeping the maroon and gold flying.
This Season Old Xaverians FC Juniors officially launches — the next generation of Xavs begins.

Our Approach

Coaching That Puts Players First

At Old Xaverians FC Juniors, we follow the FA's four-corner player development model — ensuring every child develops not just as a footballer, but as a person.

Our coaches are either FA-qualified or actively working towards their qualifications. We believe great coaching is patient, encouraging, and focused on long-term development over short-term results.

Every session is designed to be engaging, age-appropriate, and above all — enjoyable. We want children to leave every training night looking forward to the next one.

🏅

FA-Aligned Sessions

All sessions follow FA youth development guidelines for each age group.
